Momma Says to Read

Arm Candy surprised me. When I sat down to read, I expected humor and I got that. What I didn't expect was the sweet story that unfolded in this romance. Davis and Grace each have their own issues about relationships and the one thing they agree on is that neither of them want one - until they do. The story has a good, steady pace and while their is some angst, the levity throughout lightens things up. The characters are interesting and so well developed, even the secondary characters were likable and made me want to know more about them. Davis and Grace have great chemistry and are so good together and their banter was witty and fun. I found myself at least chuckling and even laughing out right, but I have to say that my favorite part of the dialogue was Davis' speech at the end. When I have big, happy tears rolling, the author has certainly done her job. This is my first read by Jessica Lemmon, but it certainly won't be my last. She's woven a romantic tale that made me laugh, cry, and even had me fuming at a couple of characters. Arm Candy is emotional, funny, sweet, and oh so sexy. It's one that I can easily recommend to anyone who enjoys the genre.
